Age 7, raking hay very slowly with a neighobr's Farmall B, while Dad ran the hay chopper with the Farmall H. Also got to pull some hay wagons to the barn with the B for unloading. We farmed the neighbor's ground, so the B was usually available if we needed it. The next summer, he let me cultivate corn with the H while he followed along on the B to keep an eye on me. By the time I was 10, he and grandpa would let me do everything except drive the trucks on the road.
