I have a 2003 Dodge with the newer quieter cummings, and have about 12000 hard miles on it and it is getting 20 mpg not pulling and has incedible power, no problems. I priced and test drove the ford and GM, the ford was about 4000 more for the same truck as the dodge, the duramax is very expensive to buy parts for and the new 6.0 is also expensive so when they go out of warranty there will be alot of them for sale. The dodge is the only one with a true big truck engine in it.

Earthmaster Project Progress Just a little update on my Earthmaster......it's back from the dead! I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned.
