do you mean seals (i think joints in french are gaskets)? usually dry sleeves do not have seals. the ford engines i know (4600) do not have sleeves at all, but when cylinder wall becomes porus, the cyls. are bored and dry sleeves are pressed in and machined to standard. in any case, dry sleeves are mostly press fit and come as semi-finish. removal can be done by a special puller or by cutting them with the boring machine at the machine shop. new sleeves are then pressed in and cut and finished to the standard measurment. david
