Dexta engine overhaul kits are still available, as are bearings and the like but the Lucas electrical parts, some seals and most other parts
are getting harder to come by. The little Dexta
is outnumbered probably 600 to 1 (wild guess) by
the Ford 9n-2n-8n. Lots of repro parts for them
as well as NOS. If you note parts prices in catalogs such as CT Farm & Country... Dexta parts
will run about twice as much as 8n parts. By the
way, there is nothing interchangeable. Weak points... they are a little hard starting when
cold unless those injectors, pump timing etc. is
absolutely on the mark.
