I think that it's a John Deere Model C. built in 1926 and 1927. I'm basing that on my perception (right or wrong) that the exhaust pipe is round. If it is oval, then it would be a Model GP, either Series 1 or 2, built from 1928 to 1930. Starting with Series 3 and extending through Series 5, there was an air intake and later also an exhaust pipe extending above the hood. Caveat: John Deere was experimenting a lot during this period and they moved the air intake from flywheel side to belt pulley side and then up above the hood--sometimes through a hole in the hood and sometimes not. I certainly don't claim to be an expert on these and it will be interesting to see what others say.
