Do you have the Marvel-Schiebler carb or the Zienth? I have a Marvel and it is made from aluminium and is kind of squarish looking. I had the same problem with it loading up and finally found a hole in the diaphram that gives an extra squirt of fuel when jerking open the throttle. To test, take a stubby screwdriver and remove the rear cover. The diaphram is on the inside of the rear cover underneath another cover that is maybe one inch by an inch and a half. Cut some strips of pop or beer can and use it between the gasket and the outside rear cover to plug both the top and bottom passage ways (drillings)that lead from the diaphram assembly. This should block any gas from being sucked through the diaphram. Your tractor may stutter a bit when jerking open the throttle but should not load up when warm.
If you are running your manifold heat block to preheat the fuel air mixture, you may expierience fuel ignition in the intake manifold if you are under a steady load for a long time and after the manifold gets a dull red hot. I run in the heat position since it gives a better fuel to air mixture but when I grind feed and push it a bit, the tractor starts to backfire through the carb. The backfire tends to bend my choke wire and really loads it up with gas.
