Steve, don't be afraid of high-compression pistons. We have a '49 "A" that we ran hard in the field for years with M&W style .125" over pistons. If anything, the tractor doesn't have to work as hard with the same load and will run about the same or a little cooler. If you pull a bigger load, then yes, it may run a little warmer, but that is to be expected. If you have the pistons, put 'em in. It will make a tractor out of it. Hope this helps.
