I probably would never have bought used diesel engines from trucks and built stationary power units. Since I had no way to test my ideas except to try them, I would never have done anything. What if I had made a mistake? The world would probably have blown up. Come to think of it, I DID make mistakes. Did the world come to an end? I, too, have a backhoe that I intend to build some kind of mobile unit for. I have some tractor parts and some truck parts, and I am going to find some way to put them together so they will support the backhoe and provide a way to power it. I will make mistakes. When they show up I`ll correct them and I will do it with NO R and D budget.
