Yep! Been there-done that. The fuel pump appears fine; however, a ruptured diaphram allows fuel to gravity flow from the tank into the crankcase, or be pumped there by excess fuel pressure. I would'nt run the engine until repaired, as diesel fuel WILL ruin the bottom end bearings.
