Possibly the 'best for it's time' and you would have a very, very good argument. While I don't like the new plastic & flaky electronics gismos being produced, there were a _lot_ of tractors of all colors that were more capable and useful from the lat '50s through the '70s. The JD 4020 often comes to mind as one of the best balanced, most durable, power/weight ratio, fuel efficient, etc., tractor. If one takes off the colored glasses, there are some good points there. Without live pto or hydraulics, limited gear selection, and it's ability to flip over backwards - time has passed the N series by. A 860 built in the mid 50's beats it all to heck, far better tractor. Now if you had asked 'for it's time' then I would agree with you. --->Paul
