I'm not an expert but you might try soaking it in turpentine and see what that might do. The next carb I clean I plan to try it and see if it helps. Rust in the bottom of old carbs has seen a lot of them go to the junk pile. Seems like the rust slows the flow of gas and makes a carb junk, I would love to find something that will work so I can fix a couple carbs I have that won't clean up enough to run the tractors that they where on.
