A 100 was a 10 horse engine when new. I rebuilt a 12 horse Kohler from a 123 last winter. I have about $300 in parts in it. Plus about $70 machine work to bore the block and turn the crank. That was a new piston, connecting rod, rings, bearings, camshaft & gaskets. Plus my time, of course. I priced a new engine on a website that specializes in small engines, a new one was over $900. Plus shipping, of course. Look at the tag on the side of the engine and get the model number. Then do a search for small engine suppliers. Replacement engines are out there, your model number will help you find one that fits.
