I have a 46, B model Farmall with a cracked block. I cleaned out the crack with a very stiff rotary brush and a half inch drill and washed it off with alcohol. After letting it dry completely I put a layer of JB weld on the crack. I let it set for a day or two, not because of the JB weld but because I was busy otherwise. I fired up the engine and drove the tractor five miles to the ranch, mowed 2 1/2 acres and drove it five miles back to the house. It still doesn't leak. My crack is on the left side of the block just below the head and is about 13 inches long. When I overhaul the tractor I'll have the crack welded. In the meantime I'll keep sealing it with JB weld when ever it leaks.
