Here in the middle of Michigans Thumb, we got a light Snow-maybe an inch or so. I 'plowed' my 3/4 mile long driveway for the first time! Out there grading, with the new fallen snow on the trees and my dogs following behind the tractor for some exercise, just having a reason to be on my Tractor again -I could not stop Smiling! I pulled some downed logs out of the Woods next to the drive, chopped them up with my Chainsaw and split them by hand. Makes you feel alive again after weeks of dreary weather! I stacked maybe a facecord, brought a armload in to light the ol' woodstove up and warmed my bum. The Geese were flying low over the House-Thousands of them. The Turkeys were strutting in the back field and a hawk swooped down and snatched a rabbit from the driveway about 20 feet from me. The Deer are wandering out again after hiding out for Gun Season. Just rambling on about the beauty of Gods nature and the pleasure simple machines can bring! Hope your Dec 14 was as good as mine!
