Red, you're a man after my own heart...a street rodder heart! I've got a '51 and a '52 International L-110 pickup, and one is gonna be restored (almost) stock while the other is gonna be my street rod (OK, purists; I know "street rod" refers to pre-'49...lighten up!). Since you plan to keep one H stock, I say take the other and GO FOR IT! My ideas would include--like ChadS on the pullin' board is doing--swapping in a 460/560 or International truck 6-cylinder engine (because you won't have to alter the stock bellhousing)...then adapting something like the fuel injection system from a Jeep 4-liter six...mucho chrome on about everything that doesn't move out of the way (valve cover, t-stat housing, tappet cover, oil pan, fan, alternator--10SI is probably easiest)...I'm thinkin' high-back, six-way power seat...low ground clearance by going to shorter tires, front and rear...a little bit of that "higher in the rear than the front" attitude...disc wheels, either chromed or powder coated...detail all the castings (block, head, bellhousing/trans case/diff case,) to super-smooth, and then lay a mirror-finish paint job--personal preference is IH red, but with ghost flames on the sheet metal, and maybe some stardust metalflake just to be different...power steering added, of course (use a stock [chromed]GM/Saginaw p/s pump, just like Char-Lynn did on those H's and M's)... As long as you've got the stock H for people to compare it to, I think a little forgiveness is in order here...and I think that, done right, the result could be one bi+chin' Farmall!

Upgrading an Oliver Super 55 Electrical System - by Dennis Hawkins. My old Oliver Super 55 has been just sitting and rusting for several years now. If it would just start when I turn the key, then I would use it more often. In addition to a bad case of old age, most of the tractor's original electrical system was simply too unreliable to keep. The main focus of this page is to show how I upgr
