Nigerian Scam works up north here !

I guess everyone has about had it with how many times this scam thing has been posted but I gotta pass this one on just to show there's a sucker born every minute. The local paper (Edmonton) had an article earlier this week about two local guys who got scammed (separately) for $50000 and $25000. Hard to believe, but what is even harder to believe is the banks. WOuldn't you think these kind of transactions (however they work) would be red-flagged somehow and the people involved be alerted to what's going on? I promise not to bring the topic up again.
