Doug is correct about the throttle, at some point in the last 20-30 years OSHA mandated the change for safety reasons. Most older US models have pull-to- increase throttles, but have changed on newer models. Some examples: JD 4020- pull; JD 4030-push, IH 966-pull; IH 986-push. Also, most gray market tractors do not have the required pto shield, and will have as many as 4 pto speeds compared to the standard 540 or 1,000 rpm that we are accustomed to. That's not really a problem if you're multi-lingual, as most don't have english labels on the controls. Think about operating your 540 rpm flail mower at 1,000 rpm! And I know from personal experience that Yanmar will not "knowingly" sell parts for a gray market tractor. Seems that if they were to support them, they would then assume product liability for the tractors.
