The real question is size of the stumps, of course, but for small stumps (up to 4-5" dia.) you might try a grubbing blade on your 850. It's a 3 pt attachment, available here in central TX. I have good luck with it on Cedar here in the Cross Timbers area - mesquite may be a different story. Best of luck.
