The tractor would have been shipped with the wheels as close together as possible, at that time they came on a rail to our area. The more they could squeeze together on a flat-rail-car the cheaper the transportation. After they got to the dealer, they were changed to what the customer needed. Most generally the front wheels were left the same but the rear wheels would have had the cast centers reversed to fit 30 inch rows or less for shipping and changed to fit 40 inch rows when they were dealer prep'd.
