Homelite is not gone . They used to be owned by John Deere ( Consumer Products Division ) . Deere sold off that line sometime around 2001 to Ryobi.

The Homelite saws , trimmers and blowers are made in Mexico at a plant Deere built not long before they sold off Homelite .

You should still be able to get parts .
