Nick, International made Cub Cadet tractors and Cub Cadet riding mowers. Although both have mowers there is a lot of difference. The Cub Cadet tractors all have a horizontal shaft engine with a drive shaft driving either a hydrostatic transmission or a transmission that is the same as the one on the big Farmall Cub tractor. They are very heavy duty units. The Cub Cadet riding mowers all have a vertical shaft engine with belt drive to either a hydrostatic drive or to a generic transaxle. They are much lighter built.
