You and others have made some good points. In my opinion, there are three good reasons why ads shouldn't show up here. One, the webmaster (Kim) obviously doesn't want them here and she makes it pretty clear when I post something (and of course guys claim they don't see the friendly reminder). She owns the website (which is essentially free unless you choose to be a voluntary subscriber) and therefore she gets to make the rules. If I don't like the rules then I don't have to visit here. Second, I see this morning there are 1600 ads in the classifieds. The reason for Kim's request should be obvious, ads plug up the discussion forum. Third, a discussion forum is a discussion forum and not a classified ads section. I think it's pretty simple, sort of like a seatbelt or speed limit rule, but there will always be some of us breaking the rules.
