If it's just a dozen or so pieces, partner up with
a good consignment auction, & make sure
your stuff is sold as it's own unit, 'all from one
owner'. Many people do not trust consignment
sales (for good reson) but will come to buy
from a 'from one owner' thing, so long as you
sell it all to the highest bidder, not try to run the
price up or hold items back.

If it is only 4-5 items, you can sell off one at a
time, in local farm papers or want ads, or on
the internet if things are around the collector
status.

I would not try to sell a few things now, and
then try to have an auction. The best items will
sell now, and there will be nothing left to draw
a crowd to your auction.
