I have a pressure washer and steam cleaner that I use on the farm to clean stuff. But at the Wayne mentioned, Oven cleaner is a good cleaner to use to clean off grease. And a cheap place to buy it is one of those dollar general stores if you have one in your area. Word of caution, use the oven cleaner down wind of you and anything you care about. IT is strong stuff that will burn your eyes and skin. And it is not good on any nice painted items, like a vehicle parked nearby. I learned this from the road of hard knocks :>( Also another thing I have done is go to a quarter car wash. I have pulled tractors in on trailer and just leave them on the trailer and use the engine cleaner cycle. Better yet, spray a thick layer of engine cleaner on the spot before you head to the car wash and it can be working for you while traveling to the car wash. Never have tried using diesel on hard grease. Sounds like it would work good if you could spray it on a few days before and let it soak in and soften everything up. Learned something new tonight. Thanks Wayne and Larry for the reply's. And Norske that was a good question that helped all of us learn something new.
Happy New Year! Cliff

He had told my father
