Mike all these guys with all this advice (except Wayne) haven't done it. If you take cash you will have an problem at the bank when you deposit it as the Feds require reporting cash tranactions of 10K or more. War on drugs. Personnally when I go to look at a tractor I don't take a certified check. Why spend money to get a certified check when you don't know the amount of the check or if you will even buy the tractor? I also don't take a trailer to haul it with either. So waiting is not an issue. Wayne is right--if he wants it RIGHT NOW go to the bank a transfer the money.
