I have used paypal many times and only had 1 problem when the item I purchased on ebay was not sent. Ebay told me to go to paypal and paypal said they determined the seller was indeed at fault but they could not recover my money, go to my credit card company. This whole senerio went over the course of 2 months with mulitple emails to ebay and paypal. When i called my credit card company and explained what was going on i got my money refunded the next day. The day after i got my money refunded I got a snotty email from paypal saying in the future if i have a problem go to them first or they will cancel my account. Guess it needed a major bank to rattle their chain. They are indeed a pack of morons when it comes to a problem, but it works more often than not. I believe ebay and paypals safe trading is false advertising. Paypal will refund money only if it is still in the sellers paypal account and ebay will only refund money { minus an extraordinary high fee} if you send them a documented letter from your credit card company stating they will not refund your money. What a joke. When you are trading on ebay preferably pay the seller directly with your credit card if possible, Visa told me that is a much safer and easier way to track than using a third party like paypal.
