I know of two VW rabbit desiels owners who told me thr owners manual recomended adding one gallon of unleaded gasoline to twenty gallons of #2 desiel. I remember several years ago, maybe about fifteen some new truck owners told me that the manufacturer recomended one gallon of unleaded to twenty gallons of diesel when a winter blend was not available. I have seen some of these guys actually mix their fuel this way and they got a lot of service out of those trucks.
