Have you gone through the entire electirical system and made sure everything is according to the owners manual? The 6V system will start the tractor reliably if properly maintained. The 12V conversion is just a coverup for a poorly maintained 6V system, and when the problem area gets bad enough the 12V conversion can't overcome it either.
