My suggestion would be to get a parts manual. These early tractors had a lot of differences form the later production. The parts manual shows what parts were changed at what serial #. Two things I can think of that were different on the early ones are: The support for the steering column was attached to the gas tank instead of having a post coming up from the rearend housing. The other is the tall intake stack and upright exhaust. I think there were also differences in the front bolster and hand crank assy. It may be hard to tell because since these were prototypes, they didn't have all of the bugs worked out yet and any parts that failed were probably replaced with later parts. Hope this helps.
