Compared to the dangers of having a full time bull, AI wins hands down every time. Contact your county extension office - they can probably help you on the details. Costs will depend on how high a quality bull you need. Younger, less respected bulls don't cost the $ the proven sires do. A bull on the place is an invitation to disaster - almost lost my father-in-law to one, and bull was just playing with him! When FIL got home from the hospital, he had to use AI - saw to it his bull was 2500# of history!
