The mechanical diode TA's are junk about every one that was put in the tractors have failed. I have a friend that had one in a 1586 and he bought a 1086 to finish planting. The 1586 had 5 mechanical diode TA's in 9 months time. The dealer went back with a regular TA. Even the top fuel dragsters have went away from the mechanical diodes. A few of the independent TA rebuilders ar using an improved sprag that will not roll over like the Borg Warner sprag .
