Hello Huw,

Just an idea, if you want the pipe for looks, you may be able to get an insert to muffle the noise. The 4” side pipes on my Corvette have this type of inserted muffler. It is not very quiet though we have glass pac mufflers. Sound is sweet and you really can’t hear it much when driving over 80 mph! :-)
