Buy a kit for the lift unit-Less than 20 bucks. Remove the cylinder from the lift cover. One od the bolts is under the remote cover. The problem should be in the unloader valve. You have one valve that is moved with the lift lever. The valve next to it is the unloader valve and it is sipposed to float free. It actually controls the lifting. Remove it and install a new O ring. The new O ring for the lift piston is in the kit, so, replace it also. The leather back up ring should be soaked in warm water so it will go on the piston. It's purpose is to keep the cylinder wiped clean. It goes on to the outside of the o Ring. Good luck.
