Jonathan, I ran a Deutz-Allis for about 15 years. It never ran hot. The outside temp. does seem to affect the tractor temp. more than a water-cooled tractor. Make sure you keep the cooling fins clean. I don't know if the air filter affected the tractor's temp. or not. I think that I kept it fairly clean so I wouldn't know about that.
