I would recommend a ford 8n..a good one sells in the 2300-3000 price range..it has a 3pt hitch but doesnt have a live pto or live hydraulics but that never bothered me..Ive mowed,cleared snow,landscaped with it..parts are readily available for these 50 year old machines..they are small enough to manuever around trees and such..they also are very stable low to the ground machines..these machines are good for mowing fairly good sized lawns..if your lawn isnt that big I would suggest you get a riding mower..
