Rod, I was using a LaPure filter which worked well and was rated at 50k gallons, paid about the same price and it looked quite similar to the Everpure 4C. I don't know if they are still available. Maybe the 50k rating was optimistic. I thought it was a good unit. Just don't have it anymore 'cause the house was lost in a fire. When the house is rebuilt we'll install another filter, maybe the Everpure. Thanks for posting.
