They are a good transmission. Just follow the instructions in the manual about turning off the OD when required and have it serviced every 20,000 miles and adjust the bands which alot of people don't do. Mine lasted 210,000 miles with alot of towing.

Earthmaster Project Progress Just a little update on my Earthmaster......it's back from the dead! I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned. But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out.
