Dad had a garden and fenced the whole thing in with 3' chicken wire. Every once in a while we would have to trap and rid it of one that would dig under it.

Option two - dog. But you have to feed them and on hot days they may be found in flower bed cooloing off after diggin up bout half of it.

I wonder if you could do somethin like spriklin hot pepper on the ground. It works for keeping mice outa feed???????
