Gas up a nickel here today. Right around $1.70 . Its been kind of a flat rate of $1 a loaded mile to haul something by way of pick-up and trailor around here locally for quit some time. That's kind of what I have been paying to haul livestick in stock trailor, wich would be about the same as hauling a tractor on flatbed trailor. Somebody going to the same destination with empty trailor will ussually haul cheaper, especially if you are sending a light load. The last time I shipped a single animal, the guy charged me like 50 cents a mile. He was going anyways. Your everyday haulers are probably higher than that. Could be time for a price hike on the $1 a mile too.
