Seems to me that there are three organizations in Oregon. The first club formed was Oregon Tractor Pullers, in 1998 the club I'm associated with Northwest Tractor Pulling Association was formed. In about 2001 the 59'ers club started as another splinter off of OTPA, Skip is the guy at 59'ers. Among the clubs and fairs there aren't any weekends this summer without pulls somewhere in OR or WA. OTPA is all "stock", 59'ers are pre 1959 tractors, and NWTPA has stock, garden, and modified classes. This year we are adding what we decided to call Super Farm, which is gonna be pretty much wide open limits include engine manufacturer same as chassis, one turbo, same number of cylinders for model of tractor as issued from factory, custom manifolds allowed, no rpm limits (I wanted one at 3500 but was voted down), Weight classes flexible at 5000, 7000, 9000, and 12000. We only have about 2 tractors to fit in this class now but if you don't have a playing field how can you have a game. I could send anyone a copy of the pull schedule for most pulls if you send an address. Steve Kenitz Prez. NWTPA
