DH, I bought a Kubota in 1986, B8200, 4X4, front loader, about 16.5 pto hp. Model compared to JD 750 at the time of purchase, as far as price and power. I decided on Kubota, and have no regrets, it's an amazing little tractor. I run a 5' bushhog all day on 3 gallon of fuel, pile snow 7 feet high all winter, and haul 2 ton of wood on the back half of a pickup turned woods trailer. Don't get me wrong, I'm not slamming the JD, I have 3 of those, all made in the 50's, but if I were in the market for a new compact diesel, I believe it would be another orange one.
