How do you know the seller is reputable? You go and meet him and look the tractor over and drive it. That is as close as you are going to get. If he won't hold the tractor for a week or two so you can arrange to come, he is not reputable. His other interested buyers will NOT disappear. If they want the tractor, they will wait. If you buy a tractor sight unseen from a person based on the ad, you are probably asking for trouble. If a visit is not practical then you should probably look for a local tractor, even if you have to pay a little more.
