My neighbor had a tractor {can't remember the make or model} that had the front bolster tube stuck {rusted tight}. First he removed it from the tractor and disassembled it down to just the tube and extensions. He built a nice sized bon fire and when it had burned down to a long, large pile of red hot coals, he put the tube assembly in the fire and buried it in the coals. Late the next day after the ash {and bolster} had cooled 'completely!' ...he took the assembly out of the ash. The extensions were already loose in the center bolster tube... no damage to the metal. He just cleaned it all up, repainted it, and then reassembled it.
