I used a U-Haul car carrier trailer to carry my 801-D 400 miles one way about 5 months ago. It cost me 49.95 for a 24 hour rental. Went up empty and hauled the tractor back.(800 miles in one day. boy that was a trip) They asked what I would be hauling and since I had heard the storys on this board I told them a 1958 Ford. They asked what model ford and I told them I did not know as I was hauling for my dad. I did think about what I would say if I had blown a tire but luckly I did not have to find out. Since then I have noticed that the rent all stores in my area that rent bobcats and such have 16 ft trailers for rent. Think if I had to do it again I would get one from them as these trailers are made to haul equiptment.
