I have a Onan P220V that the battery was run down and when I charged it back up I didn't notice that the key was left on. Now when I try to start it I get no spark while cranking but spark plug will fire when you release the key to the on position but the spark looks weak. The only way to start it now is to crank the engine till it starts to flood , release the key and the momentum sometimes is enough to get it started. Once started it runs fine. Have checked the ignition key but it seems fine. Tried new plugs but no change. Also want to add that the charging system wasn't charging the battery for a long time but found that a connector was bad, replaced it and it shows charging around 4-5 amps at full throttle
