I had a simular experence here in Canada last spring, I took in 1110 lbs I got $22.20. Then the next week I needed 2 pieces of 1/8 sheet steel about 15" x 20", After driving around the yard I found it, when I went to pay she said $18.00 I said "WHAT" she said well deducting the weight of the truck it's 100 lbs. I took them off the truck put them on the scale 45 lbs. I tried to explain the extra 55 lbs was the mud from their yard. She then said $15.00, and then said don't come back. Must be nice to be so independent. To make matters worse the week before I had scrapped a piece 24" x 24" could have made do. It puts me in mind of tractor parts, looks like a $40.00 part but they want $450.00.
