Might be a bit of a stretch to get any help from a collector group- not because they are not willing to help, but simply because they may not involve the right people. Contact your state newspaper association to find out the names of publications in your search area. Write letters to those papers, asking for help. If the papers are in the same geographical area, mail your letter on the same day, so each publishes it before they hear about the others. May make an interesting human interest story for one of them. To get to your state association, contact your local paper.
