Scotty, You are right, and let me add that the conservationists in this case are the environmentalists who care neither for conservation nor the environment. They are the socialists (Yes, we do have hard core socialists in the U.S.A.), who through their conservationist and environmentalist activities try to get as much land out of private hands and into the hands of the government. Remember that these people do not believe in private land ownership. Of course there are some well meaning followers out there who dont know the root agenda, and think they are helping America preserve its forrests, and land, but as well meaning as they are, the people pushing the movement have something completely different in mind. Public land produces zero dollars in taxes, only private land. In fact in all cases, any maintainance or improvements to public land is paid buy private land owners. So in essense, public land shows a deficit in terms of revenue. We citizens must do everything we can legally to prevent the confiscation of private land by the government, be it city, state, or federal. They do not need any more land, even for national parks. Most of the national forests are inaccessable to the public so demonstrates no practical purpose to the government. I'll not even get into the mineral rights aspect.

In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
