D.Mac Yes. stay away from the 1010 JD. The 1020's were much better. The TO Series Fergies and the N Series Fords are good tractors, but are very pricey for what you get. If your looking at AC, the D Series are very good tractors, I've used these for years and never had any problems. You may also consider 2510/3010/3020 JD or a Farmall 560. Make sure that you get one with 3PT, it makes it alot easier to buy equiptment. Keep us posted and welcome to the club. Just my O Mark Hill Dearborn,MO

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
