Got a 57 Super A. Few years, truck patched 4 acres- Engine was weak when I bought the tractor- used oil, smoked, got weak- plugs fouled quick- no room in blacksmith shop. Tractor set outside for a year- got some water in a couple cylinders. Pulled head- sleeves are rusty. Question, Am I going in the right direction by buyin' sleeves, pisstons, rings, gaskets, getting a valve job, getting the engine running to farm this year? Had good oil pressure so I'm gonna try to keep the same bearings. When I pull pistons will mic crank to check for wear. I've got a small machine shop, lathes, mills so on. Notice the pistons have bushings, I've got a lot of reamers, some adjustable. . . what's the best way to fit the pistons to the connecting rods. Will be 63 this June. . . would like the tractor to last the rest of my years. Also what's the best way to pull the sleeves? Thanks in advance for any answers. Bill Caldwell
